EKTAR 100 Color Negative Film, 4x5

The grain on this 4x5 is essentially invisible even when I push the scan hard, and the color just snaps at ISO 100 in full sun. I’ve shot a few sheets on overcast days too, but it’s really happiest when the light is bright. Loaded up a fresh box for the next trip.

Shooting this on a bright afternoon and the color separation is unreal — those deep reds and greens just pop. The fine grain is exactly what I needed for my large format portraits; the detail is sharp enough to see every eyelash.

Loaded a few sheets for some landscape work, and the grain at this size is honestly invisible even when I scan at high resolution. The ISO 100 is perfect for a tripod, and the colors have that rich, saturated punch that makes me want to shoot everything with it.
