Rollei perustettiin vuonna 1920, ja se tunnetaan huippuluokan Rolleiflex- ja Rolleicord-keskikokoisista kameroistaan. MACO on nyt Rollei-tuotemerkin lisenssinhaltija, eikä yritys enää valmista kameroita. MACO:n valikoimaan kuuluu mustavalkofilmisarja. Rollei-filmit vaihtelevat 25 ISO:n pankromaattisesta hienorakeisesta filmistä muihin filmityyppeihin, kuten lähi-infrapunaiseen 400 ISO:n filmiin ja erittäin terävään Ortho Plus 25 ISO:n ortokromaattiseen filmiin.

Rollei INFRARED on hyperpankromaattinen mustavalkofilmi, jonka nimellisherkkyys on ISO 200-400 ja joka ulottuu infrapuna-alueelle (650–750 nm). Infrapunasuodattimen kanssa käytettynä saavutetaan tunnusomainen "infrapuna-ilme", mikä tekee siitä ihanteellisen tieteellisiin sovelluksiin tai erittäin luovaan maisemakuvaukseen.

Finally a film that handles infrared without the usual finicky exposure gymnastics. The 35mm roll kept its highlights smooth even when I pushed it two stops, and the grain stayed pleasantly tight. Only wish the box gave more specific development times for different filters.

The grain structure on this 35mm roll is incredibly smooth for a black-and-white infrared stock, and the deep contrast on highlights came out exactly as I hoped. I've shot plenty of similar films, and this one handled long exposures without fogging issues near the edges.
