Cocok untuk pemula maupun pengguna tingkat lanjut, pengembang film ekonomis ini sangat ideal untuk mengembangkan film hitam putih dalam jumlah kecil dengan mudah dan praktis. ILFORD ILFOSOL 3 sangat cocok untuk mengembangkan film kecepatan sedang seperti FP4 PLUS dan DELTA 100 PROFESSIONAL.

ILFOSOL 3 adalah pengembang film B&W konsentrat cair. Diformulasikan untuk memanfaatkan potensi penuh emulsi film hitam putih konvensional, menghasilkan butiran halus dan ketajaman optimal dengan kecepatan film penuh. ILFOSOL 3 biasanya diencerkan dengan perbandingan 1:9 untuk penggunaan sekali pakai. Namun, untuk lebih ekonomis, dapat juga digunakan dengan banyak film pada pengenceran lebih tinggi 1:14 dengan hanya sedikit penurunan kualitas gambar.
