Shooting this on my medium format camera felt like stepping into a mid-century Italian film set. The contrast is beautifully cinematic, with deep blacks that hold detail in shadows, and the highlight roll-off is creamy. Even the backing paper smells like old-school photography.
The grain structure on this stock delivers that classic mid-century cinema look I've been chasing, and it scans beautifully without heavy correction. Shadows hold detail while highlights stay creamy, though you need real light to get the best out of it. Rolled super flat, no curl issues in my tank.
Shooting with this 120 roll feels like I’ve stepped onto a vintage film set—the tonal range is so rich, almost creamy in the highlights. Grain is present but never distracting, just enough to give portraits that old-school Italian cinema mood I was after.
