Introducing the CineStill Heritage Collection, in collaboration with Golden Supply & Mfg. Co. This collection was created as a tribute to the legacy of manufacturing that shaped the cities we call home, and the craftspeople that continue in these traditions today.

Golden Supply & Mfg. Co. is a small-batch handmade goods manufacturer based in Rochester, New York whose team of skilled artisans selects high-quality materials and uses a mix of modern and traditional techniques to create products

that echo the craftsmanship of yesteryear's industrial clothing manufacturers in the bustling garment district. They have worked with several small, local and large, international brands to create apparel that is both beautiful and built to last.

Each piece is crafted with the same attention to detail and quality that has been cherished through the ages.

The CineStill Heritage Champion Hoodie is a nod to the legacy of manufacturing in Rochester, New York, the birthplace of both photographic film and the hooded sweatshirt. While founded in Los Angeles, CineStill's first significant step in becoming a large-scale film manufacturer was with the introduction of 120 film in 2016, which coincided with the expansion to a production space in Rochester. 

Incorporating several pieces of local history with an iconic apparel brand that also originated in the city felt like a perfect match.

For the apparel embellishment, Golden Supply turned back the clock to the 1930s, a pivotal era for Champion as it rose to prominence in the knitted goods and athletic wear industries. During this time, displaying school spirit often involved cutting and sewing letters from wool felt—an accessible material that became synonymous with classic apparel embellishment techniques for generations.

Today, each letter is precisely cut with a laser, placed onto the garment, and heat-pressed into position. Reminiscent of the methods used in the past, straight-stitch sewing machines are operated by skilled seamstresses to carefully stitch down each letter, ensuring that the hoodie is not only visually striking but also durable enough to last for years. The hoodie itself is a 50/50 cotton & polyester blend.
