Well-suited for mixing darkroom chemicals, the AP Chemical Stirring Paddles have a perforated design to permit efficient stirring of liquids. The 10" long paddles have a textured, non-slip grip and the plastic construction is easy to clean.
The perforated design really does cut through the developer faster than a solid rod, and the 10-inch length gives me plenty of reach into deep trays without splashing. After a full session mixing fixer and stop bath, the non-slip grip still felt secure even with wet gloves.
The textured grip keeps my hands from slipping when I'm agitating fixer trays, and these paddles are plenty long enough to reach the bottom of my 5-gallon jugs. They've held up through a couple dozen sessions without any warping or cracking.
The perforated design really does make a difference when I'm mixing developer and fixer—it cuts through the liquid without splashing much at all. The textured grip on the 10-inch handle stays put even when my hands are wet from the sink.
