Kodak Rapid Fixer Part B is an optional hardener additive recommended for use with Kodak Rapid Fixer Part A to help minimize abrasions, roller marks, and transport problems associated with mechanized photo processing equipment. Comes packaged as a one liter bottle of liquid concentrate.

This chemical is classified as "Limited Quantity Hazardous" and can only be shipped via Ground within the Continental United States due to DOT regulations. Within the Continental US, it cannot be shipped to PO boxes.

A bottle this size goes a long way—20 liters of working solution from just one liter of concentrate is great value. The hardener really does its job; my negatives come out of the wash with noticeably fewer scratches and the emulsion feels tougher.

I wasn't expecting the hardener to make such a difference, but my film comes out of the tank noticeably stiffer and the emulsion feels tougher when I'm handling it wet. This liter concentrate is supposed to yield 20 liters of working solution, which is plenty for a long stretch of darkroom sessions.
