The tonal range on this stuff is gorgeous—highlights roll off smoothly while shadows keep real detail. I shot a set of portraits and the classic grain structure gave them that timeless look without being mushy. Just wish they'd sell it in larger boxes, but ten sheets is a perfect test run.
Finally got around to shooting a box of this 4x5 and honestly, the sharpness on the negative is unreal even when I push it a stop. The classic grain structure holds up beautifully in the shadows, which is exactly what I needed for my portrait work.
The tonal range on this sheet film is exactly what I was after for portrait work—the grain stays classic and fine without getting mushy in the midtones. Pulled it at box speed in soft window light and the negatives scanned beautifully.
