The T-grain emulsion really shows on the mid-tones—smooth and almost creamy, no harsh clumping even in tricky window light. I shot a roll at box speed and the flat crystals handle shadows better than I'd hoped for a first try.
I've been shooting this roll in low light and the T-grain emulsion pulls details out of shadows that my old film would've just lost. The flat crystals really do make a difference in how much light gets absorbed.
The T-grain emulsion really shows in the shadows—even my mid-day shots with harsh light held onto detail without getting muddy. I've shot plenty of rolls where the highlights blow out, but this one kept a nice, smooth tonal range from start to finish.
