The grain is so fine and the contrast so crisp at 400 speed that I barely needed to touch anything in post for these portraits. It pushes to 1600 without getting muddy, which saved me on a cloudy afternoon shoot.
Shot two rolls this weekend and the tonal range on the negatives is gorgeous, even in overcast light. Development went smoothly with standard chemicals and the film stayed flat in the tank. Glad to have found a reliable high-speed option that doesn’t break the bank.
The grain is beautifully fine for a 400-speed black and white stock, and it pushed surprisingly well when I underexposed a few frames. That classic look makes it a solid go-to for street shooting.
